"Nokia has no taste"
When Adam Greenfield, Nokia’s former head of design direction for user interfaces and services, quit the company in 2010 to set up his own design practice in New York, he made no secret of his frustrations with Nokia. In a long post on his blog, he outlines what problems Nokia faces. He says "there is nobody with any taste in the decision-making echelons at Nokia”, something which he notes is particularly ironic considering Finland’s wider reputation for style and innovative design culture. Coming from somebody who left the company last year, it carries weight.

Jokamiehen polkupyörä palaa kotiin
Helkama Velox siirtää Jopo-polkupyörän valmistuksen Taiwanista Suomeen. Alkuperäistä Jopoa valmistettiin Suomessa vuosina 1965-1974. Uudelleen lanseerattu klassikko palasi markkinoille vuonna 2000, mutta 90 % pyöristä on valmistettu viime vuosina alihankintana Taiwanissa. Jopoja myydään Suomessa vuosittain 15 000-17 000 kappaletta. Myynti on noussut huikeasti 2000-luvun alusta, jolloin Jopoa myytiin vuodessa noin 1000 kappaletta. Jos kasvu jatkuu, ensi vuoden myynti voi olla jopa 20 000 kappaletta, yhtiön myyntipäällikkö Harri Halme ennustaa.
