Girl shaves head to be readmitted to school
15-year-old Cennet Doğanay was banned from classes for wearing a headscarf, as it went against the new French law banning religious signs in schools. She was only allowed into school after shaving her head. Cennet's mother said her daughter had tried everything: "a beret, a bandana, but they still refused to let her into class." Cennet told journalists: "I respect the law but the law does not respect me."

Science will defeat religion
What could define god is thinking of god as the embodiment of the laws of nature. However, this is not what most people would think of that god. They made a human-like being with whom one can have a personal relationship. When you look at the vast size of the universe and how insignificant an accidental human life is in it, that seems most impossible. There is a fundamental difference between religion, which is based on authority, and science, which is based on observation and reason. Science will win because it works.

Time to put the Catholic cult on trial
The potential financial bankruptcy of the Catholic Church is rivaled only by the moral bankruptcy reaching from parish priests all the way to the Vatican. Tens of thousands of cases of sexual abuse have emerged in dozens of countries from Asia to Europe and from Australia to the Americas. The vulnerability of the victims seems only contingent on the number of clergy. The Catholic Church has fallen off a cliff. The people's political representatives, law enforcement agencies, and courts, must demand full accountability and compensation from the individual perpetrators of these heinous crimes and the entire organization that both protected and aided these pedophiles. The Catholic Church, and Pope Joseph Ratzinger, must stand trial.

Smut for Smut
A US college atheist group, Atheist Agenda, is offering students pornography in exchange for Bibles and Korans. The group calls the exchange "Smut for Smut," prompting prayers and protests from Christian students at the University of Texas San Antonio. The Atheist Agenda started at UTSA in 2005. "We consider the Bible to be a very negative force in the history of the world,” student activist Ryan Walker said. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/03/02/porn-for-bibles-at-texas_n_482206.html
